Halloween/Word Study Story

It was a dark and stormy night. The curtains flew in the lab. I walked in scared. BANG! Lighting hit a tree and it fell about a millimeter away from me.  Safe!  Suddenly, I heard evil music playing on a piano!           "Hello!" I screamed.           "AHHHHH!" I turned around and saw a mad scientist behind me pulling me. His hair was messed up and he was playing an invisible piano!           "AHHHHH!" I screamed again, this time on the top of lungs.           He didn't have an ankle! I knew something was terribly wrong, even though it was Halloween night. My best friend told me to come here. She was so infamous that she would never be able to pull something like this. I even admired her! She wouldn't do this. It's not her! It's not her! My brain told me. The mad scientist walked over to me with his head twitching.       ...

My Music Video

Hi! This is a video I made for the music (which I also made). I hope you enjoy it! Grade 5 Garage Band/Video Star Reflection Please answer the following questions as you reflect on your experience with Garage Band and Video Star. How did you go about choosing what loops and tracks to include in your song?  How did you decide which loops sounded good together? I like “funky” things so I started to type funky in the “search” box and got a lot and they all sounded good together. I decided which loops sounded good together by listening to each one individually and then listening to the song that I had made. How did you choose to start your song?  How did you choose to end it? I started it with a groovy mix of loops, then ended it with a mix of rock music. What kinds of things did you listen for as you were reviewing your song? I listened to see if the music sounded well together and if some loops overspoke the other loops. How did you know you wer...

Science Center Field Trip

Image
Hi! Today my class went to the Science Center. What I liked most about the Science Center was making the candy. We went to the Candy Lab to make candy! This was very fun. Even though my group made some mistakes, it still was amazing. We made lollipops and cotton candy. What I liked most about the Science Center was making the candy. We had to "butter" the molds and put them into the metal molds. We even got to add food coloring and flavoring to the lollipops. When we made the cotton candy we all got to take turns spinning our stick around in the cotton candy maker. I liked it because we got to get our hands all messy (which I love) and we got to take parts in doing all the different things.
