Grade 5 Garage Band/Video Star Reflection

Please answer the following questions as you reflect on your experience with Garage Band and Video Star.

  1. How did you go about choosing what loops and tracks to include in your song?  How did you decide which loops sounded good together?
I like “funky” things so I started to type funky in the “search” box and got a lot and they all sounded good together. I decided which loops sounded good together by listening to each one individually and then listening to the song that I had made.

  1. How did you choose to start your song?  How did you choose to end it?
I started it with a groovy mix of loops, then ended it with a mix of rock music.

  1. What kinds of things did you listen for as you were reviewing your song?
I listened to see if the music sounded well together and if some loops overspoke the other loops.

  1. How did you know you were finished with your song?
When I didn’t have enough time.

  1. How did you come up with the concept for your music video?
The beginning of my music was “funky” so I had people dance for my video and I changed the effect once in a while so it would keep people interested.

  1. What was the most challenging thing about the project?
Putting loops together that sounded good.

  1. What would you do differently next time?
Make the ending and beginning more smooth and have more varieties of music.

Ceramics 2 Final Blog This blog’s purpose is to reflect on what skills, techniques, life lessons you have learned in this course.  As a teacher, I am looking for growth and dedication to your work. Textile: Woven Clay Bowl Photo: Reflection Techniques used: While making this bowl, I used the weaving technique. This was done by laying down strips and coils in an altering fashion. I also used slipping and scoring to attach the rim of my bowl. The rim was made out of braiding coils and the rose was made by using water to thin out the petals and then blending them together. I also used the sponge off sponge on method to glaze the base of my bowl, as you can see the blue peeking through from the white. Overall, I am really happy with the outcome of my bowl. There were a few roadblocks I hit, like when one of my strips broke, but I think that I was able to recover and make my piece look good. I especially like the glazing! Terms a...
