My Second Home

Note to the Reader Dear Reader, While you are reading my essay, I would like you to know a few things. I want you to know the kind of person I am, and how I became the person I am today. Gymnastics has taught me about what comes in life, and how you just have to deal with things sometimes. It has taught me about myself, and what type of person I am. I want you think about what type of person I am, and how you think gymnastics has shaped me. I would also like you to know that this essay was one interesting journey for me. I started off with an idea that I thought would make it to the delete button, but I carried it through. After revising for a while, I would read it and think about other ideas for my essay. Why did the plane crash? BIG - radio went off, they turned to land in Fiji, they hit turbulence and were 1, 000 miles off course. Why has no one come? Ellis Island Reflection

1. How do you think people felt upon their arrival to Ellis Island? They probably felt excited that they had reached the "new world" after 3 long and hard weeks of travel, but some were probably nervous because they didn't know what lay ahead. 2. What do you think the immigration hall screening was like? I think it was really chaotic because they were probably A TON of people, and it would've smelt really bad after being on a  boat for 3 weeks, it would've been really loud, people screaming and crying after leaning about their fates, and there would've been no space to move around because it would've been so crowded. 3. How did you feel when you arrived at the classroom and learned about your fate? I felt really sad because everyone else was sad there.
