1. Why is bus segregation even a big deal? Who cares who sits in the different parts of the bus? Why does this matter at all? It matters because it wasn't really about the bus. It was about overall equality for all races. The African Americans were probably as tired as the Americans, but they weren't treated the same. Segregation is a big deal because people aren't getting things that they all deserve, basic needs, and public transport is a right for everyone. 2. My name is Suhani. In Hindi, Suhani means pleasant, pretty, and beautiful. My parents named me this because they felt like the name Suhani was what described me the best. My dad's aunt also helped name me. They also chose the name Suhani because at the time, it wasn't a very common name. They wanted me to be unique and special.

1. What are the most interesting aspects of history that you have learned this year? Include an answer for unit 1 and unit 2. I really liked the whole Multicultural America unit, especially the immigration to Ellis Island. I never knew anything about it, and I thought that everyone just got to be an American Citizen, but during the first unit I found out that some get deported and some get put in quarantine. In the Unit 2, I never knew ANYTHING about amendments and the bill of rights, or how the american government works. I enjoyed learning about how the government works, and I finally understood what the Constitution is. I now know how a bill becomes a law, and I know a few of the amendments! 2. 1. How do you think people felt upon their arrival to Ellis Island? They probably felt excited that they had reached the "new world" after 3 long and hard weeks of travel, but some were probably nervous because they didn't know what lay ahead. 2. I think it was really chaotic because they were probably A TON of people, and it would've smelt really bad after being on a  boat for 3 weeks, it would've been really loud, people screaming and crying after leaning about their fates, and there would've been no space to move around because it would've been so crowded. 3. Political Cartoon: The Unit We used captioning and labelling in our cartoon because it really helps our message get across, so that people can understand what we are trying to say. We also used symbolism in our cartoon because people are able to understand pictures and words together really well, and symbolism was an easy way for us to get a message across using something small and easy to draw. The message of our political cartoon is that we take things for granted without know where they come from and what it’s doing to our environment.        During this unit, I learned about poverty in my family. I also learned about poverty cycles (focusing on Papua New Guinea) and how micro-financing works. This makes me think that there is so much left to do to make the world a developed place. I am so used to developed places that sometimes I forget how big the world is. I forget that there are places who aren't even close to being as fortunate as me. We learned about social entrepreneurs, KIVA loans, and NGO's.        9 BILLION PEOPLE . What will life be like? I think that demography will impact the world because with more people, there will be water and food shortages because there won't be enough for 9 BILLION people. On the bright side, technology and transportation will be much better, and things will be more efficient. This will be because there will be more people with great ideas to make things happen. There will be an longer life expectancy. New discoveries will be made! This has relevance to my life because I may use the new technology, and I may not have a of of water. Lots of open land that we have will be gone because the 2 billion new people will need houses to stay in, so the houses will be built on the beautiful open land we have. Many more trees will be cut down because of need for paper. Oxygen will also be consumed faster. Global warming will get worse. I think that making a google map helped me understand the geography more effectively than a "paper and pencil" map because it was more interactive and fun. 2. After writing so many stories, this made me realize that the culture of Ancient Greece was very sophisticated, and I learned this through researching and writing 100 word summaries. 3. 1. What did you learn about thinking like a historian? I learned that you have to use your judgement and S.C.A.N. skills to uncover the truth about how trustworthy the source is. 2. What do you like about historical thinking? I like historical thinking because it actually makes me think about what is reliable, just in general when I am researching. This makes a lot of my work more accurate. It also makes me feel like a historian. 3. What do you find challenging about historical thinking? I find that sometimes it is hard to find which source is the more reliable one to use, and sometimes it is hard to find what is wrong with the document (discrepancies). 4. How have you grown as a historical thinker? I have grown to use S.C.A.N. and F.I.L.T.R. and that has made me look at sources in a different way, and it makes me know which source is more reliable. 5. How might you create an interactive exhibit that will encourage young visitors to care about the civilizations of Ancient Egypt? My interactive exhibit is for young visitors to find as many treasures as they can in the box, like Howard Carter did, and will learn that there were over 5, 000 treasures buried with King Tutankhamen, and many other facts. I want them to feel like they are having fun, but learning at the same time. 1) I feel like I helped solve problems a lot and I tried to participate a lot and give suggestions for how to solve this problem. 2) I started of with wanting to have my artifact represent the pharaoh, because I like the fact that my artifact would be like the ruler, and my group was fine with that. I started of with an old shoe box, painted it gold, painted on the bottom half, cut a cardboard headdress, and then made all of my clay elements (the things bulging out), and glued them down with some gold paint. When your computer’s screen breaks, your dreams break. One of the main reasons of computer damage is screens breaking. This is very sad because many of us can prevent this. In the Boot Camp, we learned about care for our laptops. Screen breaking is very easy to do, and also very easy to prevent.
