Reverse value is when you have an object on a white or black background and the object is the opposite color of the background. The details on the object are the same color as the background. It's REALLY confusing! The tools I used were ink, fountain pens, pencil, eraser, light table, paint, paintbrushes, and Copic Multiliner Pens. I drew a gymnastics trophy, a donut, a water bottle, my SAS card and a drivers license from a Disneyland ride (Autopia), my wallet, money, scissors, my phone, my headphones, my hand, and a softball. The most challenging part of this assignment was figuring out what to make black and what to make white.  I think this picture shows texture and atypical angle, but I used it for texture because it shows the sharpness texture needs, but this is also atypical angle because the picture was taken at an unusual or non-typical angle.    I think this picture also shows atypical angle and texture, but I used this for atypical angle because my other texture pictures were sharper, and I felt that this picture was more atypical because it is a picture of a drain cover. If I could do something different in the assignment I would have taken pictures over the break because I knew about the project over the break, but I never got to the point of actually taking pictures, and I think I could have found more pictures that fit the categories that were naturally put there. The process for taking the pictures weren't quite as hard as I thought it would be because many of the pictures that I took were "set up" for me. My first step was to make 4 ideas on one page because I needed somewhere to start off.  Then, I needed to try out different medias to see which one I wanted to use. Next, I chose one of the ideations I made, and made them into a full sized rough draft so I could try out different medias, and trace the design onto my final draft. Then, I traced my rough draft onto a blank sheet of paper over a light table, chose my final colors and medias, and made my final draft! The best part of this assignment for me was to make the dripping part of my name because I learned about beads, and how shaking the paper would make the bead into a drop, forming a drip. I also learned that I could manipulate the paint in a way so I could make the drips end in the middle, looking like this is happening in front of you.
